Our client, an undergraduate student at KCL, had been living in Elephant and Castle for a while. Before heading back home for the summer, she decided to entrust us with finding her a large one-bedroom apartment in the popular 251 development. Her wishlist? A high-floor, spacious layout, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a great view. By securing her dream home over the summer, she hoped to avoid the annual struggle of finding a place during the hectic back-to-school season.
Hunting for a Rare Apartment
Large one-bedroom apartments in Elephant and Castle’s 251 are like gold dust. Only a handful come onto the market each year, and most are standard layouts around 50 square metres. What our client wanted—extra space combined with a high-floor unit—was even rarer.

We jumped into action, submitting her offer straight away. Since we acted early and highlighted that our client was a stable, long-term tenant, we negotiated with the landlord to lower the rent. After some back-and-forth discussions, the landlord agreed to reduce the rent by £25 per week. Over the course of a year, that’s a saving of £1,300!
A Stunning Apartment with a View
The apartment is truly stunning. After moving in, our client sent us a video showing off the incredible night views. From her high-floor flat, she can see the entire city skyline, including The Shard. It’s no wonder she was so determined to secure this rare unit months in advance!
